I felt truly blessed during the whole Metamorphosis camp.
We had 3 major night talks by the speaker Rich Miller and you could feel the presence of God in the midst. I'm thankful that Andrea was there to hug and pray for me when I needed prayer :)
And I liked the last message the best. He showed us a movie clip - Horse Whisperer. It's about a rebellious horse that wouldn't let the owner and his daughter ride it. The father had to bind up one of it's hoof and it struggle vigourosly to run but it fell to the ground due to exhaustion. It was only then that he allowed the girl to saddle and ride on it. Much faith was also taken by the girl to trust in her father to ride the horse as she feared it. He related the incident to what God sometimes do in our lives. Isn' it so similar? That God sometimes have to break us down so badly and we learn a really hard lesson before we know that we need Him badly and to totally surrender ourselves to Him. But discipline's good cause it shows that He really value us and wants to mold us :) I'm thankful because when I went out for the alter call, Ruth happened to be beside me and we hugged and prayed for each other.
And another major part of the camp for me was that I had a great opportunity to serve Him as a back-up singer. Although I spent lesser time with my group then I would have like to and skipped relaxation time, I got to know people from both NUS and NTU better. To work with people who have a passion for worship. It was really good :) I think through singing, I also learn to release things to the Lord :) Really grateful for the opportunity.
Project X was also one of the highlights during the camp where my group was assigned to reach out to foreigners at orchard road. And guess what? I actually shared my testimonial to an indonesian teenager in Chinese. Imagine, in Chinese! Then when I prayed with her, I realised my difficulty. But I suppose God looks at the heart. And I'm gonna brush up on my chinese. haha
Oh, I had so much fun playing Taboo with my group members. It was really so funny when others descirbe the words. I laughed till I was rolling on the ground. Ooch.. my stomach hurts.
And the water bombing was really fun. Chasing people around with plastic bags filled with soya sause, detergent and what not :)
The girl session with Edlyn, Drea and Doreen was also quite enjoyable with laugther :) wished you were there Bel :) I realised that with what we've shared, we've grown in our own ways. That all of us are at different stages in our lives be it in ministry or towards understanding ourselves and growing in maturity. But it's good that we can learn and support each other :)
After the NTU dinner on the last night, they celebrated the birthdays for those that fall in the month of december and I love the cake very much:) It's from secret recipe and it's full of chocolate and there's a layer of mushmallows :) yummy.
I'm quite so happy. I feel like dancing :) Maybe I will :)
You are the Centre of it all
The universe declares in awe
Your majesty, I surrender all
I make You the centre of my life
Lord I respond with all I am
You placed in me the song
Of Heaven's melody
Your Majesty, I lived to sing Your song :)
